Why I support same sex marriage

Why do I support same sex marriage? I am so thankful that I was able to marry whilst my mum was still alive. I am so happy that all of our close family members were still well enough to not only attend our wedding, but party on with us and have a bloody good time. I feel so saddened to thing that some people have to put their celebrations on hold because of a few ignorant bigots.

Even if marriage isn't important to you personally, please understand that to say that two people who love each other cannot marry is significant. It sends the message to the LGBTQ community that they are not considered equal in society.

I believe that all people are equal and if they want to get married they should be able to.
